Samos Energy Group is a private investment platform focused on acquisitions and financings in traditional energy assets, including upstream and midstream oil & gas and thermal power.

Our focus is on developed basins and infrastructure hubs across the globe, with a typical transaction range between $50-$500 million, although we have flexibility to pursue opportunities outside of these criteria.

As an acquirer, Samos prefers to buy-and-hold operating energy assets until maturity, and our investment strategy does not require us to exit any position.

In 2023, we acquired a portfolio of floating upstream energy infrastructure in Southeast Asia from Blackrock and Petrofac and, in January 2026, we announced the acquisition of the Suksan Salamander FSO in Thailand from Altera Infrastructure Group.

In July 2023 Samos acquired the Petrofirst Infrastructure portfolio from funds managed by BlackRock Infrastructure and from Petrofac Limited.

The portfolio includes the following upstream infrastructure assets:

Jasmine FPSO
Lewek Emas FPSO
West Desaru MOPU

These facilities are contracted under charter agreements to Valeura Energy in Thailand for the Jasmine field, Harbour Energy in Vietnam for the Chim Sao field, and Petrofac (as Operator) in Malaysia for the West Desaru field in Block PM304.
